Packaging Design
For us, a product is not complete until packaging and artwork has been designed. For the Carl Mertens Series METZ, the task was to develop a packaging concept based on the existing black cardboard boxes – leaving out the usual deep drawn moulds which were used for knives. So we developed a folding technique for strong cardboard, that both presents handle and blade to the customer, but also ensures security for the blade. The package comes with simple stickers that highlight the product’s most important features.
