Within only a few weeks, we have constructed an existing draft based on only incomplete 3D surfaces and illustrations and delivered injection molding ready files. Luckily for the client, we were able to stick to the rather tight time schedule. Subsequently, both the construction of injection molding tools and the market launch took place in time.
In close coordination with the construction lab from Cornelius, we first came up with a strategy on how each casing part can be mounted and located the spot where connections to the chassis were necessary.
Subsequently, all components were developed in a way that the complex shaping could also be realised with a very economical tool design. Before assembly and transfer to the tool shop, assembly and fitting accuracy of the fairing parts were validated using prototypes (Fit & Function).
