Product Development
An innovation workshop prepared and moderated by Squareone was the basis for developing a new generation of lightning current / surge arrester for the DEHN company. Requirements for a future-oriented product were discussed along with the product management and development team. Solutions for those requirements evolved during brainstorming sessions.
The design team had to find solutions for a quick and easy installation as well as how to disconnect the module from the base for maintenance purposes without tools. The technical package of only 6mm width was another exciting challenge that resulted from the innovation workshop.
In terms of design, we used the existing product language as a guideline, but developed it consistently and carefully. From the conception of innovative features, ergonomics, handling safety and housing design to product graphics, Squareone was involved in the entire product development process and worked closely with the DEHN engineering department.
