Product Design
Within a study, Squareone developed a concept for a steel washbasin. Inspired by the current bath trend of filigree character, we created a basin that consists of two deep-drawn sheets. Compared to working with porcelain, this manufacturing process enables smaller radii. The racetrack as a formative element offers additional precision to the design.
In addition, we developed a siphon that perfectly matches the basin design. The racetrack re-appears as a special and modern element in contrast to regular, round drains. Still, the drain is easy to clean as the strainer can simply be lifted up.
The thin wall and the special design of the siphon are displayed best on a plate without a cabinet base.
