For over a decade, TROX and Squareone have built a collaborative partnership aimed at developing comprehensive, technically adept, aesthetically pleasing and intuitive solutions for air conditioning and ventilation in complex buildings. The areas in which this collaboration works are diverse and include innovation development, design and hardware development, development and design of user interfaces for device software and web-based expert systems, as well as the development of digital design systems.

Our partnership with TROX began with the conception and design development of the XCube 2. This origin paved the way for extensive collaboration in the development of various hardware components and software applications. Focusing on the next generation of the X2, an indoor air handling unit, together we explored innovative ways to radically reinterpret the basic static design and aesthetically enhance the unit.

This collaboration led to a breakthrough in development: a completely new, frameless and much more cost-effective design. This innovative and multiple award-winning development represents a freely combinable modular system in which static tasks are taken over by panels and individual modules are combined by a newly developed connection principle.

Our projects with TROX are more than mere aesthetics. They range from the optimisation of enclosure design to the development of scalable modules and research into manufacturing processes for sealing enclosure panels in accordance with standards. We strive to develop advanced tools that are intuitive to use while enabling in-depth development of new ventilation systems.

Thanks to our expertise in UX-UI (User Experience-User Interface), we at Squareone are in a position to create an effective link between hardware and software. Our in-depth understanding of technically demanding applications allows us to act effectively and seamlessly integrate our knowledge from hardware development into the design of human-machine interfaces (HMI).

Our goal is to develop digital interfaces that combine intuitive usability with depth of content in the development of new ventilation systems. In addition, software-based interaction modules provide access to comprehensive service components which represent a significant value contribution for TROX customers. To achieve this, we have worked with TROX to develop an in-depth understanding of the market requirements, the various stakeholders and their use cases. Based on these customer journey analyses, we have continuously optimised TROX's digital expert systems. Our digital tools are now designed to effectively support the planning process, plant monitoring and plant control. They fit seamlessly into the workflow of the various stakeholders and accelerate both internal and external processes.

The spectrum of projects ranges from the optimisation of enclosure design to the development of scalable modules and research into manufacturing processes for the standard-compliant sealing of enclosure panels. Each design project begins with a concept or innovation development.

Today, the perception of a brand is largely defined by the interaction with its digital systems, the design of software interfaces and the conception of digital service components. Consistent design and intuitive navigation concepts unite individual tools and modules into a comprehensive overall digital solution and experience. On behalf of TROX, we ensure the uniformity of the corporate design of all digital interaction systems, thus ensuring the quality and consistency of the digital brand experience.
