UX/ UI Implementation

The intersection of design and engineering

Our approach

In many projects, the greatest friction arises not during conception, but at the point of handover. Developers interpret, design details are lost, and the final product deviates noticeably from the original intention. Squareone addresses exactly this: we accompany the implementation of UX/UI concepts through to production, taking operative responsibility for pixel-perfect execution.

Our aim is to structure the interface between design and development so that handovers work and quality is preserved. We operate as partners at eye level within the development process, enabling development teams through structured design systems and establishing guidelines that not only implement a design correctly, but allow it to be carried forward independently over the long term.

How we work

From Detail to Seamless Integration

The starting point is a rigorous design rollout: every element is built out in detail and defined to the pixel – with complete components, design tokens, and responsive behaviour. The focus lies on seamless integration into existing software environments, not on starting from scratch.

The process begins with a small number of carefully selected focus screens. This allows the rollout process to be tested early, before it is extended across the entire product. Technical feasibility is continuously reviewed in close exchange with the development team. Where technical requirements or end-user feedback suggest adjustments, the UX concept is refined accordingly. The design system grows incrementally: new elements are integrated systematically as the product scope requires.

What underpins our work

Structured Foundations for Consistent Design

The central deliverable is a systematically built design system in Figma. It defines all relevant design parameters – grids, spacing, typography, colours, components – and creates a consistent, scalable foundation for the efficient further development of the UI design. Developers are thus enabled to make adjustments independently and integratively, even after the collaboration has ended.

Accessible design is not an add-on, but an integral part of our work. We ensure that requirements such as contrast in light and dark mode are met, and that the design is suited to the actual intensity of use. This is complemented by structured release planning: together we develop a sensible approach to implementation – guided, for instance, by the Pareto principle – and offer an implementation workshop on request to clarify the weighting of individual areas and modules.

Implementation

Handovers That Work

Via Figma's Dev Mode, the components of our design system can be accessed and used directly by the development team. Colours, spacing, typography, and all further parameters are clearly defined and consistently documented. This enables efficient integration into existing HTML frameworks, in close coordination with the development team. Regular quality assurance meetings ensure that execution and design intent remain aligned.

We also integrate AI purposefully into the implementation process. By training AI tools with the design system, repetitive tasks for developers and designers can be significantly reduced and release cycles accelerated. The use of tools such as Figma Make, Claude, or Vibe Coding makes it possible to transfer design principles efficiently to additional screens – always subject to quality review by our designers.

Client Benefits

An Investment That Pays Off

A consistently implemented design system delivers measurable economic value: existing components can be reused, rework and revisions are reduced, and standardised UI building blocks shorten release cycles noticeably. Professional, consistent interfaces increase product acceptance – intuitive usability translates directly into higher user satisfaction.

For companies with growing products, the result is a scalable foundation that accommodates new platforms, international markets, or additional use cases. Corporate design and compliance requirements become easier to maintain, quality standards remain stable regardless of individual team members, and design decisions are traceable across teams and projects. The design system grows alongside the product.

Scope of Services

UX/UI Implementation as Part of Our Service Portfolio

Implementing UX and UI designs is the logical next step to fully realise the value of our work and ensure pixel-perfect execution. At the same time, your development teams are enabled to create simple adaptations and new screens independently, based on the established design system.

This principle applies across all services within our Build portfolio. We support clients in transferring new product designs into production and in embedding new, company-specific processes within their organisations. The result is not only a successful implementation but also the long-term capability to maintain, scale and further develop the solution independently.
