The development project for ProMinent GmbH focuses on the pump head of a peristaltic pump and the challenge of fundamentally simplifying the tube replacement process. The goal is to enable an intuitive, safe, and efficient procedure requiring minimal effort and just a few simple steps.

The innovative tube replacement concept rethinks the design of the pump head from the ground up. Protected by intellectual property rights, the solution establishes a unique competitive advantage and a clear point of differentiation in the market.

The split rotor plays a key role in the innovative tube replacement concept. By opening the rotor assembly, the pump tube becomes directly accessible, allowing it to be easily removed or replaced.

This design principle significantly reduces the complexity of tube replacement and lays the foundation for an intuitive and user-friendly process.

Concept development begins by breaking down the overall system into its individual functions. This allows specific tasks and functional areas to be explored independently, opening up opportunities to rethink existing approaches.

For each of these functional areas, a range of solution principles is developed and systematically organized within a morphological matrix. These principles are then combined into coherent overall concepts. Functional prototypes enable early validation, comparison, and targeted refinement of the most promising approaches.
