Energetic Battery Packaging
The aim of the project was to enhance the emotional appeal of Blaupunkt battery packaging at the point of sale and clearly differentiate it from established competitors in a highly competitive commodity market. The limited creative freedom due to the strict design specifications of the Blaupunkt licence brand posed a particular challenge.
In an iterative process accompanied by consumer tests, we developed a clear, easily understandable information system with a clear hierarchy. This forms the basis for the central project result: an energetic packaging design that provides orientation and at the same time immediately conveys performance, power and value on an emotional level, thus actively supporting the purchase decision at the POS.
In addition to the graphic packaging design, we were also responsible for switching from classic blister packaging to a sustainable solution made of pure cardboard. The aim was to present the batteries visibly, allow the graphics to appear undisturbed and, at the same time, enable frustration-free opening and reuse as storage. Based on various concepts, prototypes and tests, the result was sustainable, user-friendly and visually appealing battery packaging.
