Basic Tower

As a partner for innovative solutions, Squareone designed the BASIC Tower for Remmert, a versatile storage system specifically for sheet metal and flat goods in small quantities. However, this collaboration went beyond mere design, it included a thorough review of the product's basic functions and crucial conceptual requirements.

We view each project as a holistic challenge, incorporating both design and functionality. Together with Remmert's design team, Squareone developed the BASIC Tower's sub-assemblies while adhering to process-safe manufacturing strategies.

The result is a storage system that grows with the user's requirements thanks to its modular design. Due to its compact design, the Basic Tower enables a high storage density. The material is provided quickly, safely and ergonomically, which improves the efficiency of the workflow. At the same time, the BASIC Tower is designed so that it can be placed directly next to a sheet metal working machine.

The intuitive system control via touch operation makes using the BASIC Tower a fluid experience. Another advantage is the simple plug-and-run concept, which enables quick assembly and thus contributes to a short delivery time.

Finally, together with Remmert, we developed the final design language for all products in the FLEX family and applied it to the BASIC Tower as an example. Thus, the BASIC Tower not only stands for an optimal storage solution for sheet metal in small quantities, but also for the successful interaction of design, functionality and user-friendliness. This project is further proof that good design and clever engineering should go hand in hand to create exceptional solutions.
