TROX
X2

Air handling unit / AHU

For the next generation of the X2, a device for indoor air technology, TROX asked us the following questions: What could a radical reinterpretation of the basic static design look like? How could the aesthetic revision of this device be approached innovatively?

The biggest hurdle in this project was the static design of the framework. For smaller units, it was oversized and resulted in excessive work. The crucial requirement was therefore to come up with alternative design principles, which we validated and implemented in close cooperation with TROX engineers.

The cooperation led to a breakthrough in development - a completely new frameless design. This revolutionary development represents a freely combinable modular system in which the static tasks are performed by the panels and the individual modules are combined with a newly developed connection principle.
