Our approach
For us, sustainability is not an add-on, but an integral part of future-oriented product development. With our many years of expertise in strategic consulting and our practical experience as product designers, we create solutions that are economically viable, ecologically sound and socially responsible. Our approach ranges from vision to implementation – for products, processes and portfolios that remain relevant in the long term.
Sustainability Consulting
Recognising potential, shaping change
We support companies in strategically integrating sustainability – not as a marketing measure, but as a measurable part of value creation. Starting from the status quo, we analyse processes, identify relevant levers and develop tailor-made measures for organisation and production. Our focus is always on developing concrete measures that can be realistically implemented. In interactive workshops – such as the one we recently held with Zentia – we create a common understanding of sustainable action and develop solutions that enable short-term success and strengthen the long-term vision.
Sustainability Strategy
Sustainable product development
Sustainable products are not created through sacrifice, but through intelligent design. We work with you to develop design strategies that balance environmental goals with product performance, user expectations and production realities. Whether it's an existing portfolio or a new development, we consider the life cycle, repairability, energy use and take-back processes. This way, sustainability becomes a strategic advantage rather than an obstacle.
Design for Circularity
Considering the circular economy from the outset
Instead of a linear ‘take-make-waste’ approach, we focus on cycles: we design products to be modular, separable, repairable and recyclable. From material selection to component structure, we optimise products for dismantling, reuse and recycling. This turns design into a closed system – and resource consumption into value creation with a future.
Product Optimization
Clever design, lasting benefits.
We develop products that are both sustainable and economically viable. Through material-appropriate design and well-thought-out construction, we not only reduce raw material consumption, but also optimise manufacturing costs. For example, we were able to save 30% in materials for Rickmeier's R6 pump.
For our customers, this means more than just conserving resources. It creates measurable added value and a real competitive advantage.
We also think ahead in terms of service life. Modular products are easier to maintain and can be expanded in a targeted manner. This reduces service costs, shortens downtimes and increases satisfaction throughout the entire product life cycle.
A concrete example is the award-winning BAMa bypass valve from Prominent, which we developed. It combines resource-saving design with efficient maintenance and offers clear advantages in everyday use and in competition.
